Dear Bürkle North America Employees, Customers, & Partners,
The year 2020 will go down as one of the most challenging times in recent memory for the world and the global economy at large. Without exception, we have all been impacted by the virus. However, despite the challenges we are all facing every day, this is also a time that is bringing out the best in many people—from the healthcare staff and first responders fighting on the front-lines, to the essential workers providing food, products and services. For this, we all have a lot to be thankful for during what otherwise has been an extremely difficult period.
When the pandemic erupted, we took immediate steps to protect our BNA staff and customers. We set in place workplace rules and travel guidelines to minimize the COVID impact on our community, and throughout 2020 adjusted policies as was necessary. While safety has always been our number one concern, we also worked hard to make certain that our customers could count on their Bürkle and Schmoll equipment to help them achieve their output goals. We hired new team members, increased our stock levels of critical inventory, and expanded our shipping hours. Reflecting back on the past several months, I am incredibly proud of our associates coming to work every day and putting others before themselves to support our business. We especially owe a great amount of gratitude to our service team, who have been willing to go above and beyond the call in support of our customers.
Now there is hope that the most difficult times may soon be behind us. While COVID cases have been rising, we expect that recently approved vaccines will reverse the trend and get us started on the track to some sense of normalcy.
Finally, to our customers and partners, thank you for your support of BNA. Together, we will emerge from this much stronger and more resilient, and the future is bright.
