ROBUSeco: Ideal entry into automatic spray coating

The combination of finely crafted machine details and solid machine frames provides our customers with an ideal entry into automatic spray coating. Equipped with two reciprocating drive arms and up to 4+4 guns with optimum airflow in the spray booth, the ROBUSeco guarantees the highest possible surface quality.

ROBUSpro: Developed for industrial spray coating

Based on a linear guide with up to 6+6 guns, we offer our customers with the ROBUSpro a solution for spray coating for high production and performance demands. This reciprocating machine has an optimal airflow, as well as lacquer recovery and belt cleaning units, to ensure spray coating technology at the highest level.

Up to 8+8 guns and a rotating application system form the basis of our ROBUSpro Rotation. In addition to the completely optimized airflow, the two different booth sizes for individual coating speeds allow for ideal spray coating results.

Spray coating machine ROBUSpro SCP 1300

The spray coating machine as a sled runner with several coating circuits is characterized by high-quality coating results with maximum flexibility. In addition to the standard one-way paper conveyor belt, the machine can also be optionally equipped with a PVC conveyor belt, lacquer recovery and belt cleaning. The large air volume in the booth also ensures clean working conditions even at higher line speeds.

"easy-Dry" - dryer from BÜRKLE

The easy-Dry RACK is the most flexible solution to realize different drying times for different types of coatings and coating systems. In order to be able to determine individual drying times for each workpiece, the RACK offers free allocation of the individual floors. In this way, any drying time is possible, from a fast throughput <2min to a long dwell time >45min.

UV line "easy-Cure"

Besides the "easy-Dry" dryers the UV lines "easy-Cure" complete the BÜRKLE drying portfolio. BÜRKLE offers different "easy-Cure" versions with variable lamp arrangement for the respective requirements depending on the geometry of the work piece, type of lacquer and speed of the unit.

The YASKAWA robot is used to feed the system. It is integrated by the independently developed BÜRKLE control concept. Therefore no robotics know-how is required at the customer's site.

After grinding the door surfaces, the workpieces are transferred to the spray coating machine. The rotation system of the ROBUSpro as well as the air conditioning unit ensure optimal coating results at 13m/min. Thanks to the lacquer recovery from the PVC belt and the reduced overspray, the lacquer consumption is lower than with conventional systems.

Drying technology from BÜRKLE

Before the YASKAWA Robot stacks the coating process is completed by our gentle drying technology. From handling systems and spray coating machine to conveyor technology and drying systems - BÜRKLE supplies all line components and stands for successful line engineering.

Stacking or flipping by robot

Optionally, to increase the line capacity, the door can be flipped over for a further pass through the line when stacking. This increases the capacity from 5 door sides/min to 5 completely coated doors per minute.

Feeding with stacking device

In the run-up to the production process, the rack trolley is loaded with workpieces. The stacking device at the infeed removes the workpieces from the trolley fully automatically and feeds them into the line. Optionally, workpieces already coated on one side can be turned over via the drum turner and the reverse side coated.

Our ROBUSeco is the ideal solution for entry-level spray coating. Equipped with a carriage system with several lacquer circuits, the user benefits from high-quality lacquering results paired with high flexibility. Upstream of the ROBUSeco in this system is an automatic cleaning unit with round brush technology.

Stacking with stacking device

After passing through the ROBUSeco spray coating machine, the coated workpieces are stacked in the tiers of the rack trolley via the stacking device. To dry the workpieces, the rack trolley is moved, for example, into a drying room and, in the case of coating on both sides, placed downstream of the loading device for the second pass.

Feeding with stacking device

In the run-up to the production process, the rack trolley is loaded with workpieces. High performance spray coating line for furniture parts

Preliminary grinding and roller application

Before the first coat of paint is applied by roller coating machines, the wood-based panels are first sanded and cleaned. With the base coat, the workpieces then pass through two further sanding machines to prepare them for spray coating. Following the second sanding, the furniture parts are once again cleaned of dust and dirt by a brush cleaning unit.

Spray coating

The ROBUSpro spray coating machine is technologically designed for industrial scale production and uses a linear system as coating system. With the BÜRKLE lacquer recovery system and the BÜRKLE air conditioning, the spray coating machine stands for low lacquer consumption and high output at the same time.

Multidaylight dryer

After the final coating application, the coated workpieces are transferred from the spray coating machine to the deck dryer. In addition to the drying time to be realized, this serves as a transfer tool to the second line of the spray coating line. Within the multidaylight dryer, different drying times and temperatures are made possible as required.

UV curing and turning

For drying UV coatings, a BÜRKLE UV dryer is integrated in the second strand. Subsequently, the workpieces are cooled to further processing temperature via a jet channel and turned by a drum turner for the second pass. In the second pass, the reverse sides of the wood-based panels are coated.

Drying process

The coating systems used require the combination of different drying technologies. To start the drying process with water-based coating systems, a circulating air dryer is used, followed by a jet dryer. For UV coatings, last but not least, our UV dryer has been integrated into the coating line.

Workpiece removal

After leaving the BÜRKLE UV dryer, the workpieces are removed manually via a belt conveyor. Automation systems, such as our robot or portal systems, could also be used at the unloading point and the doors could be automatically stacked. The same applies to the feeding of the painting line.
