Freudenstadt, 25 March 2025 – Robert Bürkle GmbH will present its comprehensive portfolio in the field of press and coating technology at LIGNA 2025. As a leading machine and sytem manufacturer, BÜRKLE focuses on the areas of automation, sustainability, digitalisation and energy-efficient plant technology. ‘For us, LIGNA is the most important platform for presenting our latest innovations in wood processing and surface technology. We look forward to engaging in dialogue with customers and partners, presenting tailor-made solutions and jointly shaping the future of wood processing,’ explains Jürgen Schröer, CEO of Robert Bürkle GmbH.
New all-electric roller coating machine generation and sustainability
With the new generation of all-electric roller coating machines, BÜRKLE is revolutionising its roller coating technology. Through innovative drive technology combined with sensor-based recognition, the new machine generation enables consistently precise material application with reduced energy and maintenance costs. The new roller coating machine completely dispenses with pneumatic elements, which further underlines the sustainable and energy-efficient basic idea. At the same time, the machine can be fully integrated into digital production environments.
In addition to the new machine generation, energy efficiency and sustainability of machines and systems play an important role. Especially in the field of lacquering technology, BÜRKLE presents resource-saving extensions. These include, among other things, the latest developments in the field of UV-LED drying technology. Customers benefit from reduced operating costs and a smaller ecological footprint without missing out on the usual BÜRKLE performance.
Automation and digitalisation
In addition to the surface technologies of laminating, pressing, and lacquering, BÜRKLE is focusing at LIGNA on its modular automation solutions, which are suitable for both that are suitable for both large-scale systems and medium-sized production companies and craft businesses. In addition to robot-assisted handling systems, visitors can exchange ideas with the BÜRKLE representatives about intelligent portal systems and the fully automatic control of production lines.
In cooperation with SIEMENS, BÜRKLE presents state-of-the-art IoT solutions and its new HMI as an addition to the automation portfolio. Through intelligent data analysis and smart production monitoring, customers can optimise their processes and minimise downtimes. ‘Increasing efficiency through intelligent automation and digitalisation is essential to remain competitive. With our modular automation solutions, we offer customised concepts for every production system. In addition, the IoT solutions in collaboration with SIEMENS create a smarter, forward-looking environment with maximum transparency and efficiency,’ Schröer continues.
High-end systems for laminating, press technology and door production
As usual, the machine manufacturer's LIGNA portfolio includes new high-end line concepts with innovative technology combinations in the field of lacquering, laminating, pressing, and door production lines. In particular, the engineering service with digital twins offers BÜRKLE customers great advantages in the projects, which will be presented in various application scenarios. The product range is rounded off by a significantly expanded range of services. Here, the specialists from the retrofit division will present their solutions for modernising existing systems and the portfolio of retrofit individual machines.
