New CEO and market strategy for Bürkle North America

Realignment for growth: Bürkle North America strengthens market presence under new management

Robert Bürkle GmbH has announced a strategic realignment of its subsidiary Bürkle North America Inc (BNA), including the sale of its Schmoll machinery trading business and the appointment of Andy Turner as its new CEO. These steps are part of a comprehensive initiative to strengthen BNA for long-term growth and expand its presence in the North American market. The realignment includes an intensified focus on the sale of Bürkle's own machines and systems as well as the expansion of the service offering. The goal is to better meet the needs of the market and further expand Bürkle's position as a leading supplier of surface and lamination technology.

Freudenstadt, 04.04.2024 - Robert Bürkle GmbH announces that its subsidiary Bürkle North America Inc. (BNA) successfully completed a strategic realignment in March. As part of this, the trading business with Schmoll Machines was sold to Schmoll America Ltd. and the position of CEO was filled by Andy Turner. The measures are aimed at positioning Bürkle North America for long-term growth and at the same time strengthening the global product and sales strategy of Robert Bürkle GmbH in the North American market.

"The realignment of Bürkle North America is a key part of our global sales strategy to strengthen our market presence in North America and further expand our leading position in surface and lamination technology," said Jürgen Schröer, CEO of Robert Bürkle GmbH.

Jürgen Schröer, CEO of Robert Bürkle GmbH, is confident in Turner's abilities and emphasized his potential to continue the growth trajectory initiated under the leadership of former President and CEO Kurt Palmer. Kurt Palmer is moving to the newly founded Schmoll America as CEO and will continue to be responsible for Schmoll's success in the USA. With Turner at the helm, Bürkle North America will continue to build on its reputation as a leading manufacturer and pioneer in lamination and surface technology.

The initiative includes a more intensive focus on the sale of its own machines and systems as well as the expansion of its service offering. These steps should enable BNA to respond more effectively to the needs of the North American market and expand the business in the long term.

A key element of the realignment is the expansion of the sales network, both through direct sales and through the expansion of the dealer network, in order to ensure greater customer proximity and improved accessibility to Bürkle's solutions. The restructuring into "Surface Technology" and "Lamination Technology" will enable a more specific and targeted approach to customers in these key areas.

Andy Turner, coming from the Weinig Group, is confident about the initiated strategic realignment: “I am convinced that this new direction will enable us to better meet the needs of our customers and strengthen our position as a preferred partner in the industry. Our aim is to offer our customers not only high-quality products, but also first-class service.”

In addition to expanding its own machine sales, the company will also be focusing more on its own service business in the future in order to be able to offer customers in the North American market a comprehensive range of services.
